The Count Me In Too Research Team - Role and Duties update

The research team of the Count Me In Too project will be undertaking a number of activities and tasks during the period June 2010 – December 2010. These roles and duties are in line with the strategic aims and objectives of the project and can be identified as:

  • Managing and securing funding for CMIT and for the conference (this includes securing funding for the period identified above, as well as exploring avenues for future funding beyond December 2010).
  • Ongoing dissemination work that target academics, policy / services and the community. This work builds on the dissemination activities undertaken over the last 2 years and will continue to ensure that appropriate resources are deployed in order to ensure that user groups are able to engage with the project findings in a format that is accessible and appropriate to their requirements. Dissemination work will also include speaking at conferences and producing academic publications.
  • Supervising the LGBT RID. Work continues to be undertaken by the Research Information Desk and will remain under the supervision of the CMIT research team.
  • Maintaining links with CUPP and, via this organisation, SECC.
  • Supporting partnership work related to CMIT, eg. LGBT community strategy, LGBT working groups.
  • Maintaining the CMIT website and re-orienting it so that it becomes a user-friendly archive for the project. This task involves ensuring that CMIT leaves behind a sustainable infrastructure to support the work that has been undertaken.
