What can I expect at the conference?
There will be approximately 100 participants at the conference from a variety of backgrounds including activists, academics and service providers. The conference will run for one day on 15th September 2010.
On arrival at Jury’s Inn, you will be greeted by one of the conference organisers who will provide you with a conference pack as well as a name badge. In the pack will be details of all the presentations and talks, together with a plan for the day. There will be tea and coffee available in the morning from 9am so try and arrive about then. The exact timetable will be confirmed at a later date but it is expected that the first session will start at 09:30. Some of the sessions will be larger and involve everyone coming together in a large conference room, whilst others will be ‘break-out’ sessions and will focus on specific issues. On the day you can choose the break-out sessions that interest you the most as several will run at the same time.
The registration fee covers refreshments with designated tea/coffee breaks and lunch. After lunch, the afternoon sessions will begin. After the final session there will be a reception, giving you a chance to mingle, and chat informally about the day.
